Lives and works in London, UK

I am an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates painting, sculpture, installation and performative aspects in relation to psychological and philosophical research. For me making art is an act of discovery and an attempt at reuniting different perspectives into one whole.

I investigate the link between art and light as unveiling the world around us and as transformative, and through this I explore the interrelations between metaphysics, life and art. In particular I am inspired by the phenomenological theories of Maurice Merleau-Ponty relating to the body, experience and perception and Carl Jung's theories of the 'Phenomenology of the self '.

Working with the human form and portraiture through painterly, material and spatial experimentation, I look at how we perceive our selves, others and the world around us. In a pursuit of harmony I explore the relationships of dualities and contrasts such as permanence and transience, mental and physical, visible and invisible, unconscious and conscious, strength and vulnerability, entrapment and release, separation and reparation.

Often incorporating performative or experiential aspects, I invite the viewer to activate the artworks, with the aim that they will act as vessels for communication and exchange through the experience of them.
